Numb - Susan and Levi are childhood friends who have drifted apart. However Levi ends up in an accident that has something else behind it than just careless street crossing. Old strains are being brought up and something sinister is lurking around.

Ash in the Wind - Alexis Brangwyn is a disillusioned college student who has lost interest in the real world until she discovers a mysterious book about a local legend. Seemingly by fate, she gets a chance to investigate the site (with her crush!), but when the two end up lost in another reality, they ask themselves if they truly want to return home. TRANSCRIPT:
panel 1: Chaar smiles gently at Aoife, replying: "it's nice having a friend you know you can hold onto." Aoife smiles back and replies: "yeah..."
panel 2: Chaar continues: "I know a place that makes the CUTEST, softest plushies. we can go there next!" Aoife blushes and smiles, saying: "thanks... I really appreciate it."
panel 3: They both walk up to a rolling cart store, where someone looks like they're sort of soldering. Chaar cheerfully exclaims: "don't mention it! but first- INSOLES!"
panel 4: Aoife takes a closer look at the insoles on display while Chaar cheerily goes to greet the stall owner. Aoife: "wait.. are all of these..."
panel 5: A close up on the merchandise. There are insoles of different sizes, all with symbols on them." Aoife continues, exclaiming: "MAGIC?!"
panel 6: Aoife jerks away from the insoles, while the stall owner replies: "why, yes! they wouldn't be very effective otherwise haha" Chaar just stands there looking confused.
panel 7: Aoife puts her hands up and tries to calm herself down, chanting: "that's right.. this stuff is normal here. it's normal and fine and won't explode and isn't evil." She tries to nonchalantly start up a conversation. Aoife: "right- so, I'm new to.. uh..." She grimaces, continuing: "magic..." She looks to the stall owner, genuinely confused. Aoife: "how do they work?"
panel 8: The stall owner gestures to the pair they're working on, explaining: "well! each insole has a set of magic circles- which can be customized for a small fee!"
panel 9: they continue: "they pull a small amount of magic from the user- for pain relief, smell, general comfort, and so on!" A foot wearing a heeled shoe is shown, with magic twirling around it.
