IT'S NOT WORTH MUCH, BUD
happy new year! going into 2025. i am ready 2 rumble.
not much else to report. i was trying to figure out how I wanted to draw Hana's missing fingers here. I ended up going with a different route in later pages, but it was fun to experiment.
checking in with the fundraisers we've been tracking:
- Ahmed's GFM is currently at €24,586 of its €100,000 goal
- Amjad's GFM is currently at €12,874 of its €97,000 goal (no donations since last week)
- Mohammed Abu Zour's GFM is currently at €3,819 of its €60,00 goal
TRANSCRIPT:
panel 1: Marek confronts Hana now that his story is done. Marek: "so now it's your turn. why does a man like that deserve your grace more than a king trying to protect his people?"
panel 2: Hana's eyes are cast in shadow. Hana: "Marek..."
panel 3: Hana looks off to the side. Hana: "all that you've done since I got here was try to manipulate me." He smiles sadly and shrugs. Hana: "I mean- you kind of just gave yourself away, didn't you?"
panel 4: the shot is framed so we see Marek noticing Hana's missing fingers as Hana continues: "controlling people through pain.. fear.. that's the Maighstir's specialty, isn't it?"
panel 5: Hana shrugs, looking at his missing fingers. Hana: "but that doesn't last forever.. so now you're looking for.."
panel 6: Marek looks to the side, pouting, as Hana finishes: "'a more permanent solution.'" Marek grimaces. Marek: "I take it your fingers are her handiwork then?"
panel 7: Marek crosses his arms like a petulant child. Marek: "for what's it's worth.. I instructed her NOT to do things like that."
panel 8: Hana looks back at him, flatly. Hana: "but you're not surprised she did, are you? but my working for you was more important than my well-being."
