definitely an accurate depiction of Bon's mom (sarcasm)
can we get a better timeline of the basbeoification there, Marek? when did that happen? you're a little vague on those details. i love hearing about the same event from different people. we've heard about this from Bon and Aoife as well. what are the similarities and differences between them? which has the most accurate retelling? what biases influence their telling? much to think about.
the giveaway is now over, i will get the last orders sent out some time this week (probably) thank you all for celebrating with me!
checking in with the fundraisers we've been tracking. if you got any holiday money, please consider donating a bit of it!

TRANSCRIPT:
panel 1: Marek continues from the last page: "his actions led Arsanaig citizens to rebgel against laws that regulate magic usage." An image of Bon's mom, crying very demurely, is in the background. Marek continues: "the potential danger to citizens grew ever higher, and his mother, the Eighth General, was forced to take more drastic measures. they seemed to work.. for a time..." A tall hole, like an oubliette, is shown in the background, a decorative cover nearby.
panel 2: Marek continues his monologue: "bur Riannoc had just been biding his time. He, like all other powerful magic users, only desired more power." Bon's scarred hands, closing in around a spark of magic, are in the background. Marek continues: "And his mother stood in the way of that. And so, in an act of petty revenge.."
panel 3: Marek: "her burnt Arsanaig to the ground. Starting with the capital city, and all the residents inside." A mountain with buildings buried in ash, is on fire. Flaming rocks fall from the sky. White towers on the top of the mountain crumble.
panel 4: We see Marek again. He looks pretty unaffected, merely relating a story to Hana. Marek: "some managed to escape, but the magjority died in those flames."
panel 5: Hana looks back at Marek, unsure but unhappy. Marek: "it only ended when the Maighstir and her Preachan subdued him."
panel 6: the Maighstir stands triumphantly over Bon, who is lying on the ground, bleeding, pierced by many swords. Preachan are lined up behind her. Marek: "He has been safely under her control as a basbeo since."
