TRANSCRIPT:
panel 1: Hana pulls at a bit of his hair, continuing: "Abandoned because I'm a disappointing freak... Not worth taking care of..." He looks down sadly. Hana: "When the elves came, I thought..." He smiles, somehow looking even sadder. Hana: "Maybe... Finally..."
panel 2: He smiles, slightly less sadly. Hana: "I could find a place... Among people-! To belong." His face falls again. Hana: "But I could never do enough..."
panel 3: Bon listens to Hana as he continues, surprised and troubled by everything he's hearing. Hana continues (off-screen): "Nothing I did could ever make them see me as anything besides a monster that crawled out of the mountain."
panel 4: Hana looks down, continuing his story. Hana: "But... I kept trying." He looks away sadly. Hana: "If I tried hard enough, I thought... If I tried to be useful-" He continues: "That I could be someone they would want to keep around."
panel 5: Hana pauses for a moment, before continuing quietly: "I still hope I can be... Someday."
