THE DEMON IN THE SKY

“This is a tale of a tiny little man
Who lived on a mountain high
He’d dance and he’d sing, a silly little thing
But none could look him in the eye.
For down at the base of his mountain home
Was a great big village made of stone
Where to all who lived there he was known
As The Devil in the sky!
That’s right!
The Devil in the sky!

Well, He’d dance his way to the village every day
To try and make a friend or two
But left and right people ran in fright
And he didn’t know what to do
Then one day he heard the people say
That the King himself was on his way
And how the king would surely slay
The Demon in the sky
Good bye!
Demon in the sky!”

THE QUEST FOR DRAGON ISLAND

High in the sky, and out of all sight
Lies a city bathed in golden light
Hidden from those of us below

Floating paradise, of pleasure and plenty
Now a place known by scarcely any
Long since forgotten, long since lost
The island of dragons, floats aloft

Never a cloud nor a storm overhead
Never the cold sinking feel of dread
Comes over those who make their home here

Age has no power, disrupted by the streams
One step in, aches turn to naught but dreams
Yes, the tales sound like heaven
But could there be more behind the legend?

Legends sung by the brave and bold
Of a city that we shant behold
Up in the sky, a paradise unbound
On an ocean of clouds
The dragonborn hid their secrets on high
But if you make it there you’ll surely find
Everything for which your heart has ever yearned
For why else would no one return?

Forget your past, you’re welcome here
Fear, hatred, spite, it disappears
All things can be forgiv’n with true remorse

But first you have to make it there
A journey to a myth can bring despair
So remember what it is you’re trav’ling for

Joyous days and star-filled nights
Gardens filled with blooms that glow so bright
Great dragons soaring high
And floating low

Cryst’lline water flowing free
Beauty like you’ve never seen
Wonders untold wait at your journey’s end

Legends sung by the brave and bold
Of a city that we shant behold
Up in the sky, a paradise unbound
On an ocean of clouds
The dragonborn hid their secrets on high
But if you make it there you’ll surely find
Everything for which your heart has ever yearned
For why else would no one return?
